Columbia Arrest Channels
The official Maury County Sheriff's Office links to Corrections, public-record requests, and Tennessee SAVIN/VINELink. The site posts no public inmate results table. No same-day booking list or multi-day arrest blotter appears either. So a name missing from an unofficial list proves nothing. And a name in an old archive does not mean current custody in Maury County.
For a fresh arrest, first identify the arresting agency and the likely county. Check VINE for a custody result. Call Maury County Corrections for a current question. Then request the booking or incident record from its custodian. The Arrests Last 24 Hours page lays out the same-day fallback. The Police Blotter page separates agency records from old news and archive listings.
| Window | Verified source | Best route |
|---|---|---|
| Same day | No public feed found | VINE, Corrections, record request |
| Several days | No county blotter found | Agency records and court filings |
| Current custody | VINELink | Search one person and verify |
| Case result | Maury courts | Search the proper court |
Booking charges can shift as a case moves through court. Only the court record shows the final outcome.
Maury County Jail Roster
The Maury County Corrections page covers intake. It says staff book every arrest into a jail computer system before classification and housing. It describes a state-certified jail with capacity for 386 people. Capacity is not a live head count. The public pages offer no roster search fields, no results list, no update schedule, no archive, and no booking-photo policy.
Publishing a fabricated roster would be dishonest. The Sheriff-related iSOMS site shows an administrative login, not a public search. Third-party directories may say "roster." That wording does not create a live Maury County connection. Keep four stages straight: just arrested, booked and in custody, released or transferred, and sentenced into state custody.
The official Corrections source appears below. It documents intake and facility operations without listing names.

The page supports the fallback path. It is not a screenshot of inmate results and should never be read as one.
| Target | Public status | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Used by records and VINE | Add another identifier if needed |
| Booking time | No public row observed | Request it from Corrections |
| Booking number | No public row observed | Ask whether it is maintained |
| Charge and bond | Confirm with booking or court | Do not treat as disposition |
| Photo | No online policy found | Ask if it exists and is releasable |
- Search Tennessee VINELink by name or identifier.
- Call booking at 931-375-8661 for present custody or bond.
- Use the Sheriff form for the booking sheet, release entry, or photo.
- Use the court portal for what happened after the arrest.
Where Maury Arrest Records Move
One Maury County arrest can scatter records across several offices. The arresting city police department may hold the incident or arrest report. Corrections may hold booking and release paperwork. The magistrate and clerk create the court file. Meanwhile, VINE reports custody events once the participating agency enters them. The records all trace back to one event, but they are not interchangeable.
| Stage | Best source | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Intake pending | Arresting agency or booking line | VINE may lag |
| County custody | Corrections and VINE | Neither decides guilt |
| Released | VINE, booking, court | A vanished page proves nothing |
| State sentence | TDOC FOIL | Not a county booking search |
| Federal or ICE | BOP, ICE, DHS-VINE | Separate systems |
The intake-to-arraignment geography stays local. Corrections and the magistrates sit near Lawson White Drive. Circuit, General Sessions I, Juvenile I, and the clerk offices moved to the Justice Center at 1115 South Main Street. Take a booking question to Corrections, and a later case question to the right clerk or the Maury court search.
Maury Arrest Record Fields
A booking record documents intake into the jail. Maury's public pages show no fixed online schema. So treat any field list as a request inventory. Ask for an existing artifact with a tight date range. That works better than asking staff to build a new summary.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | Subject named in the agency record |
| Arrest time | When enforcement was recorded |
| Booking time | When intake occurred, if maintained |
| Arresting agency | Which agency acted |
| Facility | Where custody was accepted |
| Charges | Charges at intake |
| Bond | Then-current release condition |
| Case number | Bridge to the court file |
| Release status | Later custody event |
| Photograph | Intake image, if releasable |
Some material should never be published. Leave out medical or mental-health screening, Social Security and driver-license numbers, confidential intelligence, internal housing details, private contacts, and protected juvenile information. Keep the source, retrieval date, and agency attached to every record. That stops an old arrest entry from being mistaken for current custody.
Request Maury Booking Records
The Sheriff's public-record form is the most concrete route to a Maury County booking sheet or booking photo. It applies Tennessee's citizen-based process. The form asks for identity and contact details. It also wants the incident date, case number if known, report type, location, the arrested subject, and a specific description. Inspection hours on the form are weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fees are listed plainly. Black-and-white copies run 15 cents per page. Color copies cost 50 cents, plus postage for mailed copies and labor after the first free hour. Estimated costs may be required up front. Within seven business days, the office must produce the record, deny it with a reason, or state the legal basis for delay along with an estimated response time.
- Name the exact record: booking sheet, intake entry, release record, arrest report, or photograph.
- Add the full name, date range, arresting agency, location, and case number if known.
- Ask for the photo separately and request the legal basis for withholding or redaction.
- Save the request, estimate, response, and file identifier for later court or correction work.
The Sheriff source appears below. It confirms the records path and direct VINE link.

Maury County Corrections sits at 1300 Lawson White Drive, Columbia, TN 38401, and lists 931-380-5733. Staff roles change, so confirm the custodian when you submit.
Maury Mugshots and Booking Photos
Maury County publishes no official online gallery of booking photos. Facility photos show the jail itself, not people arrested. A booking photo may still sit untouched in an agency file. The law does not force release without review either. Ask the office whether the photo was created, whether it is maintained, and whether it can be released. Request the written basis for any denial.
For later-stage custody, the Tennessee Department of Correction FOIL search covers offenders already in state hands. Fields include name, race, TDOC ID, state ID, and aliases. Results can carry a photo along with custody, supervision, offense, and sentence data. FOIL answers state custody, not fresh bookings.
Private archives rank last. The Busted Newspaper Maury page stops at 2022. Mugshots.com built its local archive around 2012 and 2013. RecentlyBooked and Mugshots.zone list no Maury section in their Tennessee directories. A hit is not current custody. An empty result does not mean no arrest occurred. Treat any private image as unofficial.
Tennessee Arrest Record Law
The Tennessee Public Records Act sets the inspection framework. T.C.A. § 10-7-503 anchors it. The Comptroller counts documents, photographs, and electronic files among public records, subject to exceptions. A custodian need not create a record or answer open-ended research questions. No Tennessee law orders every county mugshot published. Nor is there a general pay-to-remove ban.
Correction happens in layers. The Tennessee Courts expungement resource explains filing in the court where the case began. TBI guidance lists potentially eligible outcomes: dismissal, acquittal, no true bill, nolle prosequi, reversal, or successful diversion, depending on law and case posture. A completed order can go to the arresting agency, the jail, TDOC, and TBI. Private archives and search caches may need separate requests.
The lawful chain runs court order, agency update, private-site correction, then search refresh. Keep a certified copy. RecentlyBooked and Mugshots.com post free correction policies. Those policies are not Tennessee law and prove no current Maury coverage. Never pay a service promising guaranteed removal. Name the exact URL and error, send only the needed proof, and ask each holder to confirm its action.
Maury Arrest Warrants
Maury County posts no searchable warrant list. No Sheriff Most Wanted page exists either. The iSOMS portal tied to the Sheriff requires a login. Its public warrant path returns no results. Magistrates issue warrants or summonses on probable cause and set bonds, while General Sessions clerks keep the court records. Part I in Columbia lists 931-375-1105; Part II in Mount Pleasant lists 931-379-3340.
To check a possible warrant, use the clerk, an attorney, or law enforcement. Resolve it safely. The statewide TBI Top 10 sometimes carries a Maury-linked case. It is not a countywide list. Never approach a wanted person yourself. Send tips through TBI or Maury County Crime Stoppers at 931-381-4900.
After a Maury Arrest
Soon after an arrest and arrival at the jail, a magistrate holds an initial arraignment. Probable cause gets addressed and bond is set. Arraignment is not a trial. The court file may later show dismissal, reduction, continuance, plea, acquittal, or indictment.
- Booking
- Jail intake and custody record.
- Arraignment
- Initial court appearance.
- Bond
- A release condition that can change.
- Disposition
- The later court outcome.
- Expungement
- A court-led process for eligible records.
Use the Maury portal with the correct court and case type selected. General Sessions Criminal/Traffic handles warrants and traffic matters. Circuit Criminal takes appeals, transfers, and grand-jury indictments.
Maury Recent Arrests by City
City reports and county custody records sit in separate systems. Spring Hill Police, Columbia Police, and Mount Pleasant Police hold their own incident records, while Corrections holds the county booking. Each city page keeps those local differences.
- Spring Hill Recent Arrests: confirm the Maury or Williamson side first.
- Columbia Recent Arrests: use Police Records for the city report.
- Mount Pleasant Recent Arrests: distinguish police, jail, and Part II records.
News coverage stays selective. Maury County Source, The Daily Herald, and regional television stations cover chosen county, Columbia, and Spring Hill stories. They are not booking feeds. Each item still needs its date, source, and agency.
Maury Arrests Beyond County
TDOC FOIL handles felony offenders in state custody or supervision. The Bureau of Prisons locator finds federal inmates. The U.S. Marshals Service generally withholds ordinary prisoner photos and personal histories. ICE's locator and DHS-VINE cover immigration custody. None replaces Maury Corrections. A missing federal result says nothing about a county arrest.
Older records follow their custodians. Start with Corrections for jail records, the arresting police department for incident files, the clerk for court cases, and the Maury County Archives for transferred material. The Archives at 201 East Sixth Street keeps historic county documents. It posts no modern booking-photo collection online. Tennessee retention guidance offers frameworks, not a fixed Maury booking-retention term.
Note: Online persistence and official retention differ, so an old private page can remain long after the government record changes or disappears.
